I'm a Belgian routesetter specializing in bouldering since 2021. With a passion for movement and creativity, I design technical, engaging, and diverse boulders for both commercial gyms and competitions. My experience ranges from crafting fun, accessible climbs to setting high-level competition problems that push climbers to their limits.
In 2025, I became a Belgian National Routesetter, allowing me to set for official competitions at the national level. I bring a professional and meticulous approach to crafting problems that challenge athletes while ensuring fairness, flow, and excitement. My goal is to create routes that inspire climbers, encourage progress, and enhance the overall competition experience, balancing difficulty and movement variety while maintaining a strong focus on athlete safety.
Beyond routesetting, I'm also pursuing a PhD in medical physics, balancing my scientific curiosity with my dedication to climbing. This dual expertise allows me to approach routesetting with precision, adaptability, and a unique analytical perspective.
To share my passion for routesetting, I am also a federation-certified trainer. I recently founded Beyond the Wall, a routesetting course developed in collaboration with the Belgian climbing gym À Bloc. This program is designed to inspire climbers to step into routesetting, while providing them with the technical, creative, and pedagogical foundations needed to become confident and skilled routesetters.
